Probably homeopathy, invented by Dr. U.K. Mayo, April 1883.
Stratford surgical inhaler
For ether anesthesia, gauze is placed in the base of the inhaler. The screen on the bottom allows for air intake and ether mixture. Pouring column for ether may be seen on rear side of inhaler.
